The Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham supports the Varley Art Gallery of Markham through its activities and investments in the Varley’s strong visual arts program. Fundraising activities presented by the Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham include the Varley Fine Art Auction (held annually in May) and Homes for the Holidays (held annually in November). 

The Varley-McKay Art Foundation of Markham supports art acquisitions, conservation of the art collection, educational programs, exhibition research and an energetic volunteer program.

This will be the 15th year for the successful Varley Art Gallery Fine Art Auction. The highlight of the night will be the live auction, where original Canadian artwork contributed by prestigious art galleries and independent artists in Toronto and the GTA, will be on the block at the Varley Art Gallery in Unionville. More than 300 generous guests from the community open both their hearts and chequebooks to support excellence at the Varley Art Gallery and take home wonderful original artworks. This evening event brings a unique blend of food, wines and live music while perusing the popular annual silent auction, featuring talented artists, artisans and many other items.
